Health-tech start-up SaaS business focused on perinatal education and medical product initiatives sold to Harris Computers in 2020.Responsible for day-to-day total operations including P&L, sales & marketing, B2B and B2C account management, and technology / innovation.  Established and directed competitive and clinical market research to develop a business plan for entry into an already competitive marketspace. Created localization of a UK-developed perinatal training program  Developed new educational content with selected subject matter experts Built a sales pipeline, securing multiple revenue streams with multi-year contracts Generated sales, onboarding and provided customer support to > 400 hospitals and thousands of individual purchasers, including 2 of the top 3 U.S. hospitals (as ranked in a 2022 Newsweek report) Secureda business relationship with a national professional association for co-development and marketing of a fetal monitoring education program Established and maintained ANCC professional accreditation for educational programs Organized and exhibited at 10 national tradeshows Built, engaged, hired and led team of onsite and offshore contractors and employees Engaged in a business relationship with a leading medical device company to prototype an integrated real-time fetal analysis and decision support product concept, including proof-of-concept evaluation at a top US teaching hospital

Responsible for overseeing and directing new product research and development at Premise. Helped to identify and assess new markets and product opportunities; provided technical and strategic direction by selecting and applying new technologies and specifying optimal architectures. Built the engineering team and directed projects to successfully introduce profitable products to market in a cost effective manner. Conducted product market research, technology assessment, requirements specification, design, development, validation, software quality assurance, and technical publications. Developed multi-generational product plans, timelines, budgets, and resource/hiring plans. Implemented “best practice quality procedures”, such as Six Sigma and ISO 9001 compliant methods, with respect to product design, development, validation, testing, implementation, change management etc. Work with customer support, sales, delivery, product management, and marketing to provide engineering services.

Responsible for new product development in Perinatal Systems, reporting to the Vice President of Engineering. Supervised group of software engineers. Responsibilities included product specification, software specification, design, development, test, and validation using an ISO 9001 process compliant with FDA QSR. Interfaced regularly with customers, marketing, clinical, regulatory, QA, manufacturing, sales, and service departments for product definition, project planning, testing, release, and field support. Group management included resource scheduling, project planning, personnel reviews/interviews, training/mentoring, and overseeing day-to-day assignments.

• Lead embedded software development on an airborne radar system project. Group was responsible for software resident in flight line replaceable units, which utilized the 80186 microprocessor.•Performed preliminary specification, design, coding, and validation.•Developed servo control software for three axis airborne radar antenna, which I followed through to flight test. VAX/VMS environment was used to generate the product software, which was written in Assembly language.
