Including designing and implementing strategies which have reduced company losses associated with freight costs by $1.2M per annum.Developed solutions to reduce ticketing costs for the entire network of Dymocks retail stores effectively reducing labour and material costs by $1.6M per annum.Resource scheduling and dependency management of all roll-out activities, procurement of specialist equipment including smart boards, WIFI, 4G and fibre networks and POS solutions.Cross management of vendors, engagement with senior project stakeholders including company directors. Indoor bouldering is a major growing sport/activity and is a key sporting event for the 2020 Olympics.As project director, this position was responsible for the entire vision for the business, including its concept, design, branding, web design, marketing and location, and subsequent management of day-to-day operations.Conducted the initial feasibility study into establishing this world-class facility and subsequently sourced and secured $1.4Mil in funding to take the facility from blueprint through to construction and fully operational.Identified a suitable location based on vicinity and accessibility to the local community, worked with architects and designers to produce all necessary drawings and fit-for-purpose design. Established a critical project path to ensure construction was correctly governed throughout each stage of construction and fit out.Directly managed each stage of construction, conducting system used with third-party subcontractors, managing claims, dealing with any issues that may arise, and overseeing quality standards.Managed negotiations and relationships with local council to secure building approval.Planned and directed internal fit out including the design and installation of specialist climbing, equipment, changing rooms, catering/retail, fixtures and fittings, cabling and all associated infrastructure.Engaged a team of safety management specialists to ensure the building met stringent safety standards. Ensured all personnel were trained on and maintained protocol for safety first. Took the business from a start-up position, and led all aspects of business development and marketing (online, promotions, digital marketing etc) which would ultimately result in the business generating in excess of $650k during the initial trading period, far surpassing projections.
