David has extensive experience in leadership and has a strong and proven track record in CEO Management of Iwi business, governance, banking and operations management. In the past he has been runner up in the Duncan Cotterill Nelson Marlborough Aspiring Directors award and also completed the Institute of Directors Mentoring for Diversity Programme.David has experience on several governance boards including recent past Co-Chair of the Kotahitanga mo Te Taiao Alliance and also the Te Tauihu Iwi Charitable Trust set up in response to Covid 19 by the eight Iwi of Te Tauihu.After 10 years as CEO/General Manager for Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Kuia Trust it was time for a new challenge and David has set up his own Business Consulting Company. This is Kururangi Consulting Ltd and specialises in:• CEO/GM Executive leasing services available to cover gaps or help with transitions.• Mentoring and coaching managers, trustees and staff.• Strategic planning, influencing and change management.• Cultural protocols when dealing with Iwi clients.• Lifting organisational performance through engaged employees.• Developing and delivering performance appraisals.He is also a Board Director on the Nelson Regional Development Agency.
