Responsible for all aspects of Design, Procurement and Construction for the installation of Prefabricated Schools, Student Accommodation, Sports Halls etc. Managing a team of Architects, Architectural Technicians, Quantity Surveyors and Estimators along with Project Managers and Site Managers to deliver the projects.Liaising with the Client and End Users in order that all aspects of the service provided by the off- site solution benefits the client. Reporting directly to the Contracts Director and Company Chairman for all projects within my division. Managing the Bid and Tender process for work winning. Supporting Business Development Mangers on construction and logistic matters when liaising with both Private and Local Authority clients.

Glasgow City Campus Project

Special Educational Needs School, South Shields.Construction of new build facility to house a combined school and service with specialist teaching spaces. •Reporting to both the Regional Director and Commercial Manager on Progress / Programme Costs and Health, Safety and Environmental Management.•Reporting directly to the client on Progress / Programme, Costs, Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Liaising with the School Principals on FF&E, Design Engagements, Coordinating Decants. Liaising with Local Authority Planning Department, Highways and Transport Departments•Managing Carillion Site Team of Surveyors, Programmer, Construction Team, Design Manager, and M&E Manager.•Responsible for Procurement, Budget and Costs, ensuring all targets are achieved with regards to construction programme and costs. •Management of Health and Safety on site ensuring high standards are maintained, focusing on ensuring there is a safe working environment. Developing and maintaining the Contract Health and Safety Plan.Previous Project;Harton Technology College, South Shields. Part of Building Schools for the Future programme for South Tyneside and Gateshead Council.The Harton Technology College Project was a Design and Build Contract with a contract value of 28 million which was split into two phases.This consisted of an19 million pound New Build which incorporates a new Sixth Form College,Phase 2 consists of a 9 million pound refurbishment of the existing school with the majority of the works being the Asbestos Removal and the installation of new Mechanical and Electrical Services.

Management of projects in East and West of Scotland.Responsibilities included reporting to Regional Director, Commercial Director on all Projects on a regular basis. Liaising with Clients, Design Teams, Local Authorities and Suppliers involved on various projects.Setting up and supporting site staff/teams on projects ensuring targets are set and monitored to achieve maximum output and results. Team building, constant open communication and leading by example to influence staff.As well as the management of live projects my role as Contracts Manager also included the following:-• Working closely with Estimators on various future projects to establish key areas where advantage can be gained through innovation, commercial decisions, programming and construction processes. • Meeting with both existing and new Clients in order to secure future workload and build relationships also assisting in making their proposed schemes affordable.• Involved with commercial and legal teams on various legacy projects to achieve financial settlements through either Adjudication or Negotiation.
