In 2015, David established Advanced Integrated Energy Solutions Pty Ltd (AIES). AIES targets opportunities within the electrical energy market, both Greenfield development and acquisition projects. AIEs also provides advisory consulting services to entities within the energy sector in regard to existing assets or potential large scale energy customers looking at energy supply options.Prior to establishing AIES, David was General Manager, Power Generation with APA from October 2010 to November 2015. While in the role, David led the development of the Diamantina Power Station project in Mount Isa where the joint venture of APA and AGL was awarded off-take contracts with Xstrata MIM and Ergon Energy Queensland for the provision of their energy requirements up until 2030 using the Diamantina Power Station, an 240MW gas fired power station constructed in Mount Isa with a project value in excess of $500M. David also led the successful acquisition of the Emu Downs Wind Farm in Western Australia Prior to joining APA David was Executive General Manager Power Infrastructure Assets for Transfield Services Ltd (TSL) from October 1998 to November 2009.As EGM, David was responsible for the operational and commercial performance of the generation infrastructure assets of TSL, as well as all business development activities in the area of infrastructure asset ownership being undertaken by TSL. The successful completion of the expansion activities of the Townsville Power Station conversion to combined cycle base load power station and the Kemerton Power Station project in Western Australia have been some of David’s more significant development achievements. David has managed power stations at Mica Creek and Hazelwood.David has vast experience in successful project development and execution, as well as the management, operations and maintenance of power stations in Australia and previously in the U.K.
