Major Rotation: Worked 3.5 days/week in a busy outpatient community mental health center. Maintained an active caseload of 30-35 adult clients, providing evidence-based and solution-focused individual therapy. Conducted regular intake and walk-in screenings for adult mental health clients and substance abuse clients. Co-facilitated a DBT group and substance abuse group. Aspenpointe is the largest community mental health organization in Colorado Springs and receives funding primarily through Medicaid. Currently recruiting clients for a Social Phobia therapy group to be conducted at La Salle's clinic. Clients assigned to the anxiety team meet Axis I diagnoses for a variety of anxiety disorders, i.e., Social Phobia, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, etc. Clients may also have co-morbid Axis I diagnoses commonly found with anxiety disorders, (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder).
