Responsible for all physical distribution activities of pharmaceuticals and medical devices to end customers (mostly hospitals and distributors) throughout the EMEA region. Direct responsibility over 11 warehouses in-house and out-sourced as well as all transportation serving the EMEA market. Main achievements: re-design of the EMEA distribution network. Consolidation of local distribution centers into regional distribution centers (closed down 8 warehouses and started up 5 new 3PL warehouses). Outsourcing of smaller operations to distributors. Drastically improved performance of the network in terms of cost (-30%), service, reliability and compliance.Supply chain management of the Business Unit Medication Management Systems (medical devices, pumps, consumables) in EMEA, which encompasses demand -, supply - and inventory planning and new products introduction planning. Main achievements: set up of S&OP processes and improvement of customer service levels with a reduction of inventory cost.
