I joined Baron Capital to initiate its institutional sales effort and helped it grow from $110 million to the current $40+ billion. I have raised over $6 billion for the firm’s existing products and worked with potential clients to create new strategies leveraging the firm’s capabilities. I represent the firm at presentations with governing boards and committees, investment staff, consultants and at conferences both domestically and internationally. Most often my role is raising capital but I am also the portfolio specialist and investor relations professional where I represent the firm without a PM or assistance from the research team. An important part of my responsibilities is to proactively manage existing client relationships. Additionally, I hired and trained client service and sales personnel. From 2000 to 2013, I chaired the investment committee for The Gunnery, an independent boarding school, overseeing its endowment. The responsibilities of the position include assessing the institution's risk tolerance and providing direction for the investment portfolio; developing and reviewing the portfolio's asset allocation policy and portfolio construction; evaluating, selecting and monitoring investment managers; identifying new investment opportunities and managers; and reporting to the board of trustees.More recently, I have joined the three person pension committee of Indian Harbor Yacht Club overseeing the restructuring of the employees' defined benefit and defined contribution plans.
