Achieved a 95% compliance target and zero injuries in the facility post implementation. * Developed process control strategy diagrams and wrote process control computer code, which eliminated the need for a process automation engineer.* Implemented the supply chain work process and business rules (MRP II) for production planning, data and analysis in King’s Lynn. * Responsible for the technical plant to produce Dursban and Reldan, the formulations facility to produce 500 different aqueous/solvent based emulsion concentrates and suspension concentrates, and supported the packaging facilities to produce multi-product insecticides in ¼ Liter bottles up to 55 gallon drums, 1000 Liter IBC’s and isocontainers.
Improvement / Production Engineer
* Manufacturing representative and project manager on capital/expense projects ranging from $50M - $900M. Implemented a total of $4.5MM in capital/expense projects over a 2.5 year period. Projects included a redesign of the heat transfer and piping system throughout the facility that was at end of life and eliminated heat tracing fluid leaks.* Filled the production engineer role initially for the Dursban technical plant and was responsible for advanced troubleshooting of unit operations such as hydrolysis and esterification reactions, steam stripping column, solids recovery units, chlorination reactors, and decanting and washing of the organic phase. * Learned to program on Dow’s proprietary process control computer system.
