First position: I developed a torque estimation model using Dymola and Simulink and integrated it into a virtual car model running software-in-the-loop-based functionality tests within the continuous integration chain.Second position: working extensively in Unity, I: - Modelled traffic scenarios for internal VR applications. Upon seeing the fidelity and immersiveness of the end result, a state-owned research institute also gained interest and requested models to be used in a paper exploring the possibilities of replacing physical user testing with digital crowdsourcing. - Built an interactive experience that visualized multiple potential features of the next generation of cars, used to facilitate the decision-making process for stakeholders. - Developed an AR mobile app that rendered an interactive 3D map of a given location on any flat surface. - Implemented a real-time optical tracking system solution allowing for on-road driving in mixed reality.Third position: by the means of recurrent neural networks, I created an accurate and computationally cheap electric drivetrain model. Fourth position: I partook in the commencement of a completely new team dedicated to realization of real-time detection of the state of the driver (such as tiredness and intoxication). My team, comprising three people, lead an intercompany working group governing the pertinent data collection, data analysis, algorithm development, and software implementation. My role mainly consisted of project management and data analysis.Fifth position: I lead a cross-functional working group in a company-wide project to reduce insurance premiums for vehicles equipped with ADAS and active safety features. My project management role also entailed data analysis and several collaborations with external partners.Sixth position: together with some fellow graduates, I developed and showcased a prototype for an avant-garde infotainment interaction concept.
Summer Intern - Software Test Development
Summer worked in the Collision avoidance team. Designed and developed tests to find loopholes in the collision avoidance algorithms of the company’s autonomous driving software and took part in efforts to optimize the run time of the team’s software component.

National Coordinator
I was in the national committee of IAESTE Sweden, a subbranch of the worldwide organization IAESTE (an international organization exchanging students for technical work experience abroad). Among other things, I was the project manager for an international conference located in the archipelago of Stockholm with 100 participants from 15 countries. Trainee
During six months I worked for a company that develops mid-infrared, broadly tunable VECSEL laser modules for fast and precise analysis of multi-component gas mixtures. Among other things, I implemented a new method for experimental determination of quantum mechanical energy transitions in semiconductors. I also conducted and analyzed photoluminescence measurements of laser samples from cryogenic temperatures up to above room temperature using a high power excitation laser. The results formed a basis for subsequent prototype designs. In general, my tasks were very dependent on the problem at hand and included for instance programming, experimental research, lab setup design/implementation, and data analysis/interpretation.

After a successful Bachelor's thesis I continued over the summer to work for a two year old start-up company that works with energy harvesting from vibrations.Summer work: For instance, I developed a semi-automatic method for characterization and quality control of their prototypes.Bachelor’s thesis: My group investigated the possibilities to base the energy harvesting on piezoelec-tricity instead of electromagnetism and to evaluate the effects such a transition would have on the quality and environmental impact of the product.
