Duties:• Control access to Government Defence sites through checking of Government employees / Government contractors / visitor IDs• Provide a high level of customer service and resolve customer queries on site as required; main point of contact for visitors on site• Detect and report all unusual activity on site; maintain situational awareness to identify potential risk• Manage fatigue while working on a 24/7 rotating roster• Escort and monitor non-Government cleared contractors and other workers through Government sites• Prepare timely and accurate incident reports for incidents occurring on site

Duties:• Ensuring the security and safety of detainees from diverse background whilst their immigration pathway is being determined• Maintain the good order and security of the centre• Monitor and assist the welfare of detainees• Use communication skills to resolve conflict and de-escalate volatile situations in a professional manner• Maintain situational awareness to identify and resolve potential conflict and threat• Conduct secure transporting and escort of detainees to offsite activities and appointments• Write timely and accurate security reports and detainee case notes • Conduct effective security searches and checks in accordance with Serco procedure• Manage fatigue and challenges of remote living / FIFO work while working on a 24/7 rotating roster
