 My position is Fulfillment center manager consist of responsibility for the over all operations. Rolled out SOC (span of control) that involved a total re-build of the leadership team in La Mirada. Going from Lead based leadership structure to a supervisor only leadership structure. (hired two managers, seven supervisors) Successfully converted our 3PL back to fleet operation. Successfully implemented SKU expansion project that added over 4000 SKU’s to the operation. Worked out of 45 storage trailers while adding pallet racking and reconfiguration of the breakpack pick engine. Developed the team and was successful in promoting an OP’s manager and two supervisors to new roles in the company. Support the robotic project in Ontario with training and development of the “playbook” for outbound. Providing supplies (manufacture bin boxes, static shelving) to support the operation. Did a volume transfer from Ontario to take pressure away while they implemented the robotic project. (3500-4000 cartons a day)

 My position as Operation manager was instrumental in building a strong team. I established SOP’s that showed steady improvement in total BPH; total cargo loss; retention; on time dispatches. Instrumental in developing the “playbook” for a 250K expansion by consolidating three buildings into one. (Total footprint 520K) Implement Vocollect “pick to voice” system as well as “Packsize” on demand packaging. (box maker) Expand SKU set from 14K to over 19K and went from 17,000 cartons out bound to over 28,000 cartons daily.

 My role as VP of Distribution was instrumental in building the leadership and promotes synergy by maximizing the diverse talents and experiences of the group as an effective team. Working with the DC manager/Trans manager on improving their score card I was able to bring them up to number one rating in the company. (18 divisions) Instrumental in bringing the division from last place to top five in the company. Can effectively work with people and technical resources to apply knowledge/skills to obtain results. Was instrumental as project manager to successfully rollout a 135,000 square foot expansion to the existing facility. At the same time installing a 14 million dollar “pick to light” Sortation system to automate the facility. While maintaining 95% on time delivery to the customer. Total square footage of facility was 350,000 with over 450 teammates. Responsible for 12,500 SKU dry grocery/perishable/frozen inventory. Maintain a fleet of 48 tractors and 110 trailers. My responsibility were also planning and budgeting for all aspects of the operation including capital expenditures.

 Was responsible for all inbound and out bound freight. My responsibilities also included three facilities, combined square footage was 241,000. At peak production total head count was 221 teammates. My role as the manager was planning and budgeting for all aspects of the operation. My effectiveness as DC manager was interacting with the teammates and building empowerment teams. I am a team player with other department heads in getting results that have a positive effect on the operation. As Transportation manager my responsibility was fleet operation. Was instrumental in rollout of Xata electronic log system for DOT compliance. Maintained drivers DQ files.
