This involved growing the sport financially, growing participation and growing the capability of all coaches, referees, volunteers and administrators around New Zealand.Key responsibilities included:- Leading Volleyball NZ's Strengthen and Adapt proposal to Sport New Zealand, which resulted in significant new funding investment from Sport New Zealand- Leading the creation of the inaugural National Volleyball League, the new pinncale indoor volleyball event for NZ- Driving the development of an updated Coach Development Framework- Reshaping the performance programme to better align with Balance is Better, and to ensure that more talented young volleyballers had a chance to maximise their talent

Key responsibilities relevant to training and development:- Led the design and roll out of a training and development programme for members of staff within the school’s sports department. - Led the design and roll out of a training and development programme for the school’s coaching community (circa 100 coaches). This included understanding the unique coaching needs across the different sports codes while creating a cohesive programme that aligned to the Kings Hospital’s wider sports goals.- Member of the senior management team, which involved the day-to-day operations of running the school and collectively agreeing the school’s strategic objectives across all departments.- Led the restructuring of sport at The King’s Hospital School by creating a dedicated sports department that had clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and wider sports programmes’ goals.- Developed voice of the participant feedback loops which allowed us to gain a better understanding of the student body wanted from their sporting experience and restructure the programme accordingly.

Part of the coach development system in New Zealand, where I develop quality sport coaches, and quality coach development programs, to ultimately improve the experience of athletes in the North Harbour region.Developed and delivered significant education packages for coaches, coach developers, coach mentors and aspiring athletes including:• Delivering over 220 workshops to 1000 coaches across a variety of contexts and coaching communities• A four month module based learning package for potential coach developers, aligned with Sport New Zealand’s coach developer program.• A learning package designed to develop coach mentors in the Harbour region, aligned with the Sport NZ coach mentor resource. This included group workshops and 1-1 development.Redeveloped the whole staff development programme at Harbour Sport. This involved analysing the needs of the staff, identifying gaps in their development, designing a programme (based on action learning theory) that addressed those gaps and continually evaluating the effectiveness of the programme. The programme focused on developing emotional intelligence to enhance performance. Feedback from the staff was outstanding, with satisfaction ratings averaging over 95%.Led a team of community coach developers to achieve agreed outcomes. This involves: • Creating understanding of the requirements of their role• Giving support and guidance • Actively monitoring and reviewing performance• Providing opportunities to continually develop in their role.Led the development, implementation and continual evolution of Harbour Sport’s Coach Support Initiative project. Through this I have: • Grown the project from five schools to 25 across the North Harbour and Waitakere regions. • Created opportunities for over 1500 coaches to receive development through 1077 workshops & coach observations • Advocated for the recruitment of over 200 new coaches• Overseen an annual budget of over $200,000.• Managed people and performance
