Following a business restructure a new internal organision was created to support operative and management accounting activities across the global business. My area of responsibilities stretch across field service, maintenance agreements, project management and department cost reporting. OverviewFollowing my completion of the CIMA qualification I was promoted to assistant controller to support the UK senior management team in monitoring the engines business within the UK. I am also supporting the field service team within the NE area assisting the NE area FS controller. I continue to carry out some of my responsibilities from my financial analyst role, although I delegated many to other colleagues within the finance team.Achievements• Design and planned implementation of a new FS management tool that allows risk analysis, future sales/margin estimation, time to invoice reduction and invoicing worklists. Achievements• Replacement of van fleet to save over 25% of costs per year including analysis and acceptance of new vehicle supplier• Designed new credit control team monitoring system for the department manager which includes tracking of outstanding balances and the development of a new database upload tool, reducing process time from 2 hours to less than 2 minutes.
