Responsible for conducting research into health equity policies at the local, state, and federal levels over the past three decades, resulting in the creation of an interactive timeline centered upon the history of equity policy within the Multnomah County Health Department. The timeline will be used as an educational tool for policy creators and for onboarding new employees. Research includes conducting interviews with former and current county employees, archival work in government depositories, and both quantitative and qualitative policy analysis aimed towards informing future equity policy.

Responsible for assisting attorneys with a number of projects including: researching CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) and contacting local schools in order to provide detailed information as to how the program would be beneficial and encouraging them to adopt it; analyzing the tax assessments of homes and businesses within black and white majority census tracts in the city of Jackson and identifying discriminatory differentiation within the assessments in conjunction with the National Lawyer’s Committee; researching land titles and tax history for the Hope Credit Union with a grant from the Bank of America in order to expand the availability of affordable housing options; performing archival research on the Mississippi state legislature for potential future lawsuits; attending conferences held by local community partners concerning social work and its intersections with law, affordable housing, racial reconciliation, and community reintegration of former felons; ordering and filling out daily office paperwork and organizational work.
