Dave has acquired over 25 years of experience in the IT industry as an analyst functioning in roles ranging from Project Solution Lead and Team Lead to Business Analyst, Systems/Technical Analyst, and Requirements Analyst. He has extensive experience eliciting requirements through one-on-one sessions and facilitated group JAD/JAR sessions while striving for SME level knowledge on systems being supported. Generated work products satisfy defined project deliverables across the SDLC, which include business, technical and functional requirement documents, Use Cases, business and technical process flow diagrams, database mappings, security matrices, gap analyses, functional and technical specifications, and training materials. David has extensive experience with web-based, client-server, and mainframe systems as well as the generation and execution of test scripts. In addition to his project-related work, his is continually tasked with working on teams to generated RFP responses due to his high-level writing skills.

Internet Quote and Bind Project - David functioned as the Project Solution Lead for the Internet Quote and Bind Application. On this project, David assisted in the planning of the monthly releases by providing feedback, application knowledge, and estimates for potential Work Requests (WR). He also tracked defects, assigned WR to team members, and provided peer reviews, feedback, and direction to the Requirements Analyst Team. He was also part of the Agile methodology implementation effort by generating storycards for the Pilot project and took part in Estimating and Development Amigo Revenues. He then supported the generated storycards through the Development and Testing cycles until the Pilot was delivered.THI/NSS Assignment Project - As the Solution Lead for THI/NSS Assignment Project, David managed all applicable eSDM methodology driven phase specific documentation for the THI/NSS Assignment Project. He worked with project stakeholders to ensure business objective alignment, conducted numerous JAD sessions with Business Stakeholders to determine business needs, and researched existing system functionality to determine upstream and downstream dependencies for the project. He also worked with the Project Manager to manage dependency estimates and timelines as well as manage dependency assets assigned to the project by setting project timetables, milestones, and deliverables.

As a Business Analyst on the STREAM application, David functioned as a liaison between the Business End-Users and the Build Team (development). David worked with the Business End-Users to analyze Business Requirements, providing technical expertise, and produce specifications for impacts regarding any new/change in STREAM functionality. He also produced code deployment Project Scope documents, detailed Functional Specification Requirements, data mapping, test plans and scripts, and other project documentation. David was routinely tasked with performing complex data analysis across multiple downstream systems while monitoring code deployments.

As a Systems Analyst at the Attorney General's office, David analyzed the Charitable Organization Information Network (COIN) application from a business requirements perspective. Partnered with a developer, the two were about to reverse engineer COIN and generate 100+ business requirement use cases for a pending application iteration. No previous use cases were in existence, which resulted in heavy code analysis, reverse engineering, and a development partner.

As a Business Analyst with Compuware, David was assigned to numerous projects at a variety of client sites. These clients include Wendy's International, ODJFS, City of Columbus, Nationwide Insurance, and Cisco System. Tasks performed for each client varied according to the client and project needs. During his time at Compuware, David also served as a Branch Team Lead where he worked with and mentored other employees on best practices for handling issue/conflict resolution on the client site, professional development for less experienced personnel, and resume updates and development for those personnel rolling off of long term assignments. David was also able to utilize his Technical Writing background and assist in the generation of RFP responses for future business consideration.

Supported the Columbus, Ohio and Herndon, Virginia development teams as they upgraded current and/or legacy software inherited from several company mergers. Facilitated JAD sessions and interfaced with business users to gain a better understanding of all impacted processes and systems. Developed and maintained multiple HTML online help systems for multiple applications in Java-script. Created templates files (.dot) for development and management use. Researched, developed, and created training guides, user manuals, FAQs, and Quick Start Guides. Developed and edited documentation and assisted in writing the Functional Specification documents.

Documented all internal policies for process evaluation and improvements that impacted the entire company. Conducted JAD sessions to understand all processes and systems within the company. Documented policies in various departments that impacted hiring practices, payroll procedures, entering employee time (billable/non-billable), equipment procurement procedures, as well as, other various company protocols and procedures.
