C. Primary Functions & Duties- Post and maintain weekly Single Copy Distributor’s schedules. Ensure each shift is adequately staffed with drivers, filling shifts as needed due to illness, injury, vacation etc. Check distributors in at the beginning of their shift. Report attendance variances to management for their follow up. - Assist Single Copy Distributors with administrative tools and decisions. To include: trend reports, sellout reports, ordering products, batches, and runlist maintenance.- Answer calls from distributors, transportation and retail customers regarding shortages and urgent situations. Expedite problem resolution.- Provide exceptional service to our retailers and customers. Initiate as well as follow through on guaranteed and timely problem resolution.- Prepare bi-weekly payroll for distributors, clerks, rack shop personnel and Marketing leads. Coordinate benefits payments and associated records for on-the-job injuries with the Safety Coordinator and the Disability Management Specialist.- Notify distributors of marketing and promotional changes. Ensuring Point of Purchase is up.- Maintain awareness of front-page stories to increase sales. Order products for late breaking stories and distribution of products to distributors.- Prepare daily and weekend operation reports to zone managers. Report distributor’s attendance and performance issues to zone managers. - Understand safety policies and regulations and ensure they are enforced, on the dock and in the field.- Prepare and maintain reports daily and weekly. To include: timeloss and overtime reports.- Maintain accurate up to date office filing. These include: payroll, time loss, vacation records and schedules.- Work with management to determine appropriate level of staffing.- Assist in administering vacation schedule bids as necessary.
