Monitored railway activity to ensure no gaps in raw material supplies. Worked closely with Furnace engineer to improve efficiency, quality and safety while optimizing performance. Was a liaison between operations, engineering, Maintenance and outside contractors for the implementation of capital projects, daily operations, maintenance or overall improvements. Provided overall leadership in the absence of Production Superintendent.

Ensured the safety, quality, environmental and employee welfare standards were met at all times. Maintained a good working relationship with employees and union stewardship through administration of labor agreement.
