Over 41 years banking experience, primarily working with businesses turning over £1-25m. 32 years with Nat West, spending much of my time as a relationship manager dealing with trading businesses as well as property developers and property investors. In my last few years with Nat West I led a team of 12 managers in East Kent looking after customers in that segment. I joined Handelsbanken in 2009 and led the Maidstone branch until 2011 when I set upthe Canterbury branch in 2011 and then opening Ashford branch in 2015.As a Branch Manager in Handelsbanken you are effectively running your own business, with your own profit and loss and balance sheet. This extends to making the credit decisions, which in the majority of cases were within my discretion, and my experience levels were further broadened to include areas such as regulated mortgages.Whilst I am enjoying retirement, travelling and playing more hockey, I hope that I might be able to occasionally use my expertise with businesses or private individuals who are seeking a banker's view of their position before formally approaching their bank.I have just completed my first assignment and the outcome is that my clients have received a credit backed offer for over £4m of finance.If you feel I might be able to add value or help you prepare for meetings with funders, then please feel free to contact me for an initial no commitment chat.
