I was in charge of project management of the sites; Arua Stone soup Estates, Arua Main Roundabout, and Arua Hill Stadium and Business park. I was in charge of the following tasks Material testing; testing of materials like sand, aggregate, and concrete Recordkeeping; recording of daily material used at the site, measuring of daily works done, preparing a daily site report that captured the number of workers at the site every day and audit of works done vis a vis the material issued. I was doing quality control using checklists for all work activities done. We performed budgeting of works for a month, making workplans plus placing requisitions for works' materials to do construction works and so forth. Bidding and tendering; reading newspapers to find new bids to go for, preparation of personnel, bills of quantities, Equipment, and so forth. Supervision of civil works; setting out of houses and buildings, setting out walls for room partitions in houses, supervision of works to ensure that they are built as per the plans, ensuring right procedure of works is followed to attain the best quality, supervision of concrete works to ensure proper mixing and prevent alterations of the mixes. We carried out planning and implementation of those works. Making workplans; involves making site surveys and walks to assess which works can be done and those that cannot be done as soon as possible. Report writing and cover letters to acknowledge receipt when delivered to offices Teamwork spearheading leadership at the site to ensure that works are done in time. Topographic surveys issuance of first aids on-site, organizing toolbox meetings, and other safety roles. Construction of Earthbag houses from foundation level up to completion. General civil works supervision and plan reading. Setting out of walling for blockwork and its plaster, plumbing of columns, and supervision of formworks using checklists.

We performed leveling for the buildings and set them out for the project of construction of Arua Hill Stadium and Business park. With the team, we would crosscheck the setting out with a total station.* Site reconnaissance, hence proper planning and possible costs reduction to the company * Site clearance and leveling of the site; trees and shrubs must be cleared to create a good working space, as well as create a good building level in relation to existing structures like roads. * Reading of building plans; studying the plans, their measurements, their orientations, bending schedules to avoid errors in construction. * Plan of Building concerning surrounding features; study nearby structures like sewer lines, water supply lines, and surrounding levels about the structure to be built. * Setting out of Buildings of the Business Park. * Procurement and monitoring the standard of procured material. Ensures material is up to the the standard for quality construction, and it's the quantity purchased. * Monitoring and survey of pad footing excavation, Ensuring the level of the being constructed building is maintained. It saves the company double costs in refilling or re-excavating. * Steel bending of pad footings and Columns. Ensuring the right bending schedules are done for quality construction. Avoids wastage in case wrong schedules are done. * Pad footing, Ground beam casting, and Foundation construction; ensure the concrete has the right compressive strength, rightly mixed, the columns and pad feet of steel correctly placed. Concrete must be cast up to the right ground beam level, to avoid errors. Key achievements/projects * Recognition as the setting out team of Arua Hill stadium and Business Park. A strong foundation was put in place. Proper concrete mixes were ensured to be mixed and pad footing holes were monitored to be properly excavated. The structures were properly set out with no errors. * Good relationship with all co-workers

While at the Construction of Arua Central Market, I learned many skills from many workers as I was always offering a helping hand in their works, my hands-on mentality aided my learning. Key responsibilities * Lime surface finish; keeps the wall smooth and prepares it for painting * Form works for slabs, columns, beams and stair cases; they hold concrete slabs, beams or columns in their rightful positions until they properly dry and are properly cured. * Block laying; set out the room partitions of the rooms onto the ground beam or floor beam. * Tiling surface finish, attractive and great, care must be taken while placing tiles and cut-shaping. * Concrete casting and curing; properly vibrate the concrete for proper mixing and air escape, cure the concrete to enable it achieve its maximum strength as it dries. * Design of houses, ArchiCAD; drawing of plans, house/landscaping detailing, interior design. * Scheduling of site works using MS project; work weeks during construction properly planned ensuring proper deadline management and work progress monitoring. * Weekly technical Report writing * Slump concrete and compression strength test to ensure good quality concrete is cast. Key achievements/projects * Recognition as a trainee for Joadah Consult LTD. A strong structure was left and proper concrete mixing was ensured for a durable structure.
