I lead the Cool Worlds Lab at Columbia University, where we study extrasolar planets at long orbital periods. These cool worlds have the capacity to harbor moons, rings and habitable surfaces and thus represent a deep well of future discovery. We leverage large data sets using modern data science techniques and astrostatistics and seek students and postdocs with expertise in these areas.

An institutional prize fellowship at Harvard, where I largely continued my research program from my previous Sagan fellowship.

The Carl Sagan Fellowship scheme is a NASA-funded research program, named in honour of the late astronomer Carl Sagan. In 2011, five astronomers were selected including myself, to conduct observational and theoretical research related to exoplanets. My research will focus on looking for the moons around extrasolar planets, so-called "exomoons".

This was my first postdoc after completing my PhD. The postdoc was funded by the Smithsonian Institution and my advisor was Prof. Robert Noyes. Based at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, my postdoc focussed on developing a new computer algorithm (called "LUNA") for detecting the moons of extrasolar planets.
