David has over 33 years of diverse architectural experience with public and private clients. Developing healthcare, educational & large commercial projects. For 27 years he has been president/principal of DNK.Through David's leadership as President/CEO and Principal-in-Charge, the firm has completed a portfolio of projects that are diverse in both size and scope with an emphasis on projects in the urban core. Projects include a $1 Billion Master Plan for the Cincinnati Public Schools, designing schools in several Ohio school districts, Lead Architect and Urban Planner for Uptown Consortium- Burnet Ave. Redevelopment, feasibility study for the expansion of the Cincinnati Convention Center and lead architectural firm on all of the FF&E purchases for the center, team architect for the development of Great American Ball Park, architect of record the Gateway Condominiums and renovation of office space for Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency.David has more than 18 years of experience as a Building Code Official. He was responsible for interpreting, writing & enforcing building codes. As a recognized leader in building code law and its application in design and construction he has provided expertise on many high profile projects in Ohio and the tri-state region.Business development has also played a significant role in David's life. He is currently a member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber RT and the African American CEO RT.Community service has played an important role in David’s life. He currently serves on the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra and the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance boards. Previous boards he has served on include the SWOBOA Board, the Dan Beard Council of Boy Scouts, the American Montessori Society National Board, Board of Directors for the Cincinnati American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Mid-West Regional Vice President for the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA).

As a Senior Building Plans Examiner in the Building Department for the City of Cincinnati David enforced federal, state and city building codes to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the community at large.
