My practice is focused on privacy, data security and technology issues. I have helped hundreds of clients to respond to all aspects of data security incidents - from containment and investigation, through notification, regulatory inquiry, and litigation. My clients come from diverse industries, including accounting & professional services, banking and finance, education, energy, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, retail, and state and local government. I have experience counseling major corporations on compliance with state and federal laws, as well as foreign data breach notification laws. I regularly counsel companies on privacy best practices and prepare them for response to a security incident. I also have over a dozen years experience with litigation matters, including two jury trials. My litigation experience spans privacy, patents, trademarks, bankruptcy, and many other disciplines. I regularly provide commentary on developments in data privacy and information security.
