While investigating the 112 year old building that is the Reid Boiler Works, I was invited by Jennifer Barker to fill in as a subcontractor/ welder, and help complete some of the many Retorts under construction. During the first few months I became certified with welding procedures 4, 6 and 9 which are variations of: stick welding with 6010 & 7018, dual-sheild MIG welding, and Submerged arc welding. Over the last 2 years a partnership has been developed that has benefited the two companies with powerfully metal forming techniques for my artist adventures and modernized tooling and retrofitting for the boiler works.

Large CNC shop in Ballard dedicated to constructing machine parts for Boeing. Set-up and inspect/operate all CNCs, Okuma 3VA, 4VA, Cincinnati Milacron 10VC-1000, OKK MCV-500. Print interpretation and diagnosis of program code. Tuning CNCs, operations, precision.

Apprenticeship with milling machines, vertical CNC operations and set-up. Construct high performance jigs, maintain injection molds, precision sheet metal fabrication, using shear and brake.
