Dave Klein founded Greenwood Industries in 1992. As a fourth-generation roofing contractor, Dave possesses extensive knowledge and insight into the industry (and what it takes to stand the test of time.) Moreover, he always admired his father’s ability to make something from nothing. Starting in an office park on Greenwood St. in Worcester, MA, the company now has eleven offices in five states, ranking #6 on Engineering News-Record's Roofing Contractors list.Dave is also CEO of TWC Phoenix, the result of a strategic merger between The Waterproofing Company and Phoenix Bay State Construction. His passion for the industry and commitment to integrity -- be it in labor, materials, or service – has allowed Greenwood and TWC Phoenix to thrive and become the leading custom building envelope solutions providers in the Northeast.In addition to his work at Greenwood and TWC, Dave maintains close ties with his community. He is a Syracuse alumnus with a degree in Information Systems from the renowned iSchool, the first of its kind. Following Greenwood’s work on the iconic Syracuse Carrier Dome, Dave and his wife Elizabeth established the George Klein Endowed Scholarship at Syracuse University. The scholarship, named after his father, helps accepted students with financial needs from his hometown of Worcester and surrounding Worcester County.Dave serves on the New England Center for Children’s President’s Council and supports a variety of youth programs, as well as the Southborough Food Pantry. Within the business world, Dave is a member of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, National Roofing Contractors Association, New England Roofing Contractors Association, and the American Subcontractors Association.
