David has a lifetime of experience in horticulture, agriculture and fruit production around the world both as an entrepreneur and as a consultant. David spearheaded the development of irrigated agriculture in the Northeast region of Brazil by developing and employing automated techniques to address challenges such as limited water resources, harsh climate, and soil deficiencies. He started and ran Agro Knoll LTDA, a company that for over 20 years produced and exported fruit and vegetables to Europe and California, utilizing modern agricultural technologies developed and adapted to the local climate, soil, and water situations. Prior to that, David stablished and managed a cotton and bean seed production business. Previously, David was the first raw material purchaser for the Ralston Purina Feed company in Northeast Brazil. He moved to Brazil after joining the Peace Corps. David has a wealth of experience providing consulting services on productivity, commercial viability and sustainability to landowners and companies such as Ciba Geigy, and Coats and Clark.
