Profile bio

About David Knopf

I was born and raised in the Midwest where farming, logging, and refurbishing homes with my father was the foundation of my career. Later I forged an unwavering work ethic by going to work for local contractors, building residential and commercial properties. After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after a 10 year highly decorated career as a munition systems craftsman serving around the globe, I doubled-down on my commitment to the construction industry when I began working for Alaskan construction contractors. My foundation and military experience led to roles as superintendent and project manager for two blasting companies and an accelerated pace of increasing responsibility. These positions afforded me opportunities to lead and manage public infrastructure projects around Alaska and beyond. My leadership skills have been honed through my experiences in the Air Force and beyond. Applying core principles, diverse multi-cultural knowledge, and engaging in adaptive personality traits, has led to my ability to step into sometimes ambiguous industry situations and make solid decisions after quick assessments of processes and behavioral observations. I’ve been recognized for my abilities leading people, attention to detail and providing project collaboration across diverse partnering interests.Industry Leadership• Construction Oversite• Project Management • Risk Management • Personnel Management • Requirement Management• Light, Medium, and Heavy Construction ActivitiesField Operations• Quality assurance & control• Safety protocol and planning• SWPPP, environmental, traffic, and emergency action planning• Developing and managing scope, documentation, and reporting• Scheduling and construction time and cost estimates• Proactive communication between multi-disciplinary project teams • Logistics coordination• Mechanical repair assessment and prioritization• Security operations and measures• Equipment operations, and taskingsInterested in discussing new opportunities please contact me at davidknopf79@gmail.com
