The programme covered all facets of the profit and loss and was focused on EBIT improvement through margin improvement and cost out through key work streams.

The Sustainable Agricultural Initiative (SAI) Platform is a unique initiative set up in Europe some 8 years ago by world-leading food companies with a belief that a common food and agricultural industry platform can promote sustainable agriculture at a global level. The initiative has spread internationally to Australia. SAI Platform is an not for profit independent association, operating across the agriculture, food, beverage and fibre chain that aims at changing practices to improve sustainability outcomes in a practical way through sharing information, pilot projects and education. Members of the SAI Australia Platform include; Foster’s, Treasury Wines Estates, Nestle, GrainCorp, Goodman Fielder, Kraft, National Foods, Sugar Australia, Visy, Kellogg’s, Inghams, Fonterra, McCain, Sunrice, Bayer, Netafim, GRDC, RIRDC, Dairy Australia, Australian Pork and the Meat and Livestock Association.As President, provided strategic leadership to the Australian agriculture, food and beverage industry to drive a collaborative framework to actively support the development of sustainable agriculture. This was a key influencing role where relationships needed to be fostered with other company senior executives, Government including Ministers, industry groups and NGOs.
