I'm a Business Intelligence analyst with a boundless curiosity toward just about anything.Whether it be how kelp farming could be a solution to climate change, what can we expect CPI to be next month, or how simply having an automatic opt-in option can lead to better health and wellness outcomes in public policy, I always enjoy learning something new. As well as making connections between seemingly unrelated things and spreading ideas from one problem to another.I found that I am at my best when I can explore new ideas as well as challenge old ones. Particularly with Economic and Market data, there are so many different avenues to explore and create an argument with the underlying evidence that nothing is an absolute truth. I strive to think of new ideas as well as distinguish what I know and want to know from what I've heard or assume to be true.What I do in my current role:- Work in BI for Enterprise Data at Bloomberg.- Work across product, sales, and engineering teams to make informed business decisions by leveraging insights from our data warehouse.- Utilize SQL and Python and more to develop applications, create unique metrics, and regular reporting.- Improve existing workflows to automate reporting and provide custom results for prospecting and business development.- Advise on commercial changes and create transparency and dollar impact for business scenarios.Outside of Work:- Enjoy cooking and baking a lot. I learned to cook growing up watching my mom and since I love to eat, kind of a no-brainer that I love to cook as well. Baking was something I picked up mid-pandemic when I got my own sourdough starter and now love to do it on a regular basis. Nothing beats fresh bread!- I enjoy being outside and endurance sports. When I was a student, I rowed for 8 years and loved both the ability to be outside as well as the competitive team atmosphere.
