I am a dedicated and skilled Process Operator with extensive experience in the hydrocarbon and bio-fuel industries. My background includes working with companies like Origin Materials, World Energy, and Arlanxeo, where I have demonstrated my expertise in operating complex production units, developing safe operating procedures, commissioning units, doing research and development and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.My education in Chemical Production and Power Engineering Technology from Lambton College, coupled with a strong GPA, laid the foundation for my technical skills. I am a TSSA 4th Class Steam Ticket holder and I have passed all the 3rd Class TSSA exams (although require steam time to get the 3rd). I really enjoy doing extra training and learning new skills and as a result, I have completed advanced training in Emergency Fire Fighting, Confined Space Rescue, Hazmat and spill management (where you get to wear pretty much all the PPE.) Key strengths include my ability to commission and operate production units, draft precise P&IDs, participate in process hazard analyses, and develop repeatable startup, steady state, and shutdown routines. I am proficient in a variety of software, including Foxboro, ABB, Delta V DCS, SAP, and MS Office, and I have a foundational knowledge of Python programming. I am also very passionate about artificial intelligence and have been excited to see it blossom from first starting with GANs and CNNs (Generative Adversarial Networks and Convolutional Neural Networks) in 2018 to what it has become today to Large Language Models -- and I run everything locally on my own setup. My commitment to safety is evident in my role as a team representative on the Joint Health and Safety Committee and my experience as an emergency firefighter. The way I see it, if you don't fully understand the processes and exactly what is going on inside each part of your unit, the more likely hazards will manifest -- and conversely, the more you understand it, the greater the odds that dangerous scenarios can be avoided way in advance. I possess strong analytical, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, which enable me to work effectively under pressure and collaborate successfully with teams.I am passionate about continuously improving processes and implementing innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
