Operational Management with emphasis on client relations for mortgage lending firms to ensure Underwriting quality and overall client satisfaction. Operational activity includes the recruiting of the team staff of Underwriting and Audit personnel while designating staff organization according to the needs of the client. I work daily with the client to mobilize client projects and to continue to improve the performance of our operation. Retail Underwriting.

Duties included Coaching of Underwriting Team, escalated underwriting concerns, policy exceptions, training, HMDA compliance, quality control, and second level underwriting/ auditing for the Nationstar project. My duties included implementing and maintaining client Underwriting policies. In addition; I worked daily with the client’s point of contact in building the Nationstar project. I have also assisted with identifying trends in underwriting errors and increasing the level of quality in our Underwriting decisions. Developed the direct Underwriter training for the Nationstar project and classification of level authority delegation. Also assisted with ACS Underwriter training development and assisted in establishing job descriptions for Underwriting assignments. NMLS registered; holding licenses in Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Research and underwrite mortgage loan files within a production environment, and report as to the quality, or lack of quality, and/or document fraud when present. I assist in the training, implementation of underwriting and management policy and organization of forensic underwriters and processors. I write written reports as to details regarding particular mortgages and groups of mortgage portfolios for internal and external reporting. Utilize DU, LP, Clues and lender specific decision engines.

Underwriting of retail conforming, and non conforming residential mortgage transactions. Project organization, compliance and production review of underwriters and processors, as well as corporate reporting.I also was involved in the training of other temporary employees and new hires. DU and LP decision engines.

Processing of retail and wholesale mortgage loans. Worked primarily with loans sold to Countrywide from third party originators.

Originating of retail and wholesale mortgage loans while supervising a team of 8 loan officers. Also handled specific business partner relationships and purchasing of bulk mortgage portfolios with banks and credit unions.

Originating of conventional and sub prime mortgage loan products for purchases and refinances. My scope of supervision included the daily monitoring of a retail sales staff and the internal coordination between the sales and support departments.

Office Operations. My branch was a full service (Underwriting, Closing and Sales) retail location. Originating of conventional and sub prime mortgage loan products for purchases and refinances. Also was involved in recruiting, supervision and training of other originating and processing personnel. My scope of supervision also included the daily monitoring of a sales staff and the pricing of the pending loan closing portfolio. My scope of supervision included the daily monitoring of a large retail sales staff; and compliance control. Also; the internal coordination between the sales and support departments. I also worked with business partners in the purchase of mortgage portfolios.
