I have recently started a DKTK/DKFZ-supported group at the Universitätsklinikum Düsseldorf using third-generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatic analysis thereof to characterize transcriptomic and genomic alterations in blood and brain cancers.

Using 10X Visium spatial and Nanopore long read sequencing to analyze aberrant RNA isoforms inneuromuscular organoids models of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Conducted research on the SARS-CoV-2 lifecycle and clinical research on COVID-19 patient serum effects on the endothelial transcriptome. Responsible for writing, leading, and administrating grants from the Berlin Institute of Health, the Chan-Zuckerberg Initiative, and the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung. Mentored one Masters student.
