Manage the Claims Technical Specialists that handle the severest and catastrophic claims in the Florida branch offices to include traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complicated claims. Collorborate with the Florida Branches on new and escalating claims presenting large risk to the company in excess of $200,000 or greater to ensure an approach that utilizes legal, medical, SIU, and safety and health staff. Provide direction and leadership on Medicare Set-aside, Employer Liability, and reinsurance issues.

Management of two Catastrophic Examiners. Oversight of all Catastrophic and serious losses in the Florida branch offices. Review of claims with incurred of $250,000 or more. Involvement on Medicare Set Aside and lien issues. Review and consultation on large settlement and reserve requests for submission to home office. Liason with bill review department for large hospitalization bills and disputes. Experience with multi-state claims. Other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned.
