Responsible for managing and developing engineering design change packages, equipment reliability evaluations, and providing maintenance and testing reviews of installed equipment. Primarily work responsibilities were focused on Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant.• Responsible for the development and implementation of engineering design changes. • Project responsibilities included: conceptual project development; engineering design; developing equipment specifications, documentation and installation packages; functional testing instructions and start-up of instrumentation and control systems. • Project scope for instrumentation ranged from simple instrument loops such as temperature, pressure, or flow to complicated level measurement systems with variable pressure, density and temperature compensation. • Control systems ranged from bistable/relay logic for valve control, replacement of a boiler control system, and replacement of the main feedwater control system involving three-element control. • Provided support to the I&C Maintenance Department for equipment troubleshooting, equipment reliability reviews, developed calibration methodologies, developed the setpoint uncertainty calculation program and provided reviews of the surveillance procedures to insure adequate testing was performed on crucial equipment. Skills developed include scheduling, budgeting, supervising the construction work during refueling outages and presentations to all levels of management.
