David Kurtic has successfully graduated from Lynn University's Conservatory of Music, where he studied under the guidance of Carol Cole. His journey in music began at the tender age of 5, when he embarked on learning the violin in Nis (Serbia) under the tutelage of Professor Branislava Petrovic Markovic. His exceptional talent was recognized early on, leading him to join the esteemed Music School for Gifted Children in Cuprija at just 9 years old. Here, he was guided and nurtured by professors Ljiljana Rankovic and Vladimir Markovic.Throughout his musical journey, David has garnered numerous prizes, including the Grand Prix at the International Competition of Strings in Nis, the Silver Medal at the International Violin Competition Petar Toskov in Belgrade, and being named a Laureate at the Nedyalka Simeonova competition in Bulgaria. His exceptional talent also earned him the award of the "Constantinus" music festival for the most talented young artist in 2017.David's musical pursuits have taken him to various stages, competitions and masterclasses across Serbia, Bulgaria, Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Italy, Slovakia and the United States. Notably, he has showcased his skills as a soloist with the Nis Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with conductors Le Fi-Fi (Vietnam), Luke Cleghorn (Austria), Zoran Stanisavljevic, and Suzana Kostic (both from Serbia). An outstanding accomplishment was his graduation solo concert, where he performed Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto alongside the orchestra, a feat no other high school student has achieved.Furthermore, David has expanded his musical expertise into the realm of teaching. He is a valued instructor at Volta Music Foundation and Master Musicians, sharing his knowledge and passion with students. His teaching reach extends to the Preply platform, where he guides eager learners in mastering the violin. In addition, David takes on private students, imparting his skills and insights to nurture the next generation of musicians. With such a well-rounded background and a wealth of experience, David Kurtic continues to shape a promising future as one of Serbia's leading violinists and educators.
