I have worked as a private tutor for students in various year levels, ranging from Year 7 to Year 12. In order to work with younger students, I am responsible for making the sessions engaging, while still maintaining a leadership role and guiding the student through their course content. On the other hand, while working with Year 12 students I am trusted with ensuring that they are capable of independently solving complex problems using a variety of techniques, and applying these techniques in unfamiliar situations. I always form a positive relationship with my students, and this allows me to act as an effective teacher. In a single year I tutored five Year 12 students as well as five younger students while also attending university, demonstrating my time management skills.

I have worked in the University of Adelaide's First Year Mathematics Help Room, taken tutorials for Mathematics IA, taken practicals for Time Series III and done marking for these courses along with Statistical Practice I, Multivariable and Complex Calculus II, Algebra II and Topology and Analysis III. My role in each of these positions was to support students' engagement in the course material in order to deepen their understanding. It was vital that I had a thorough understanding not only of the course material, but also of ways to translate my knowledge to those who were struggling with the material. I also assisted with the transition of physical tutorials to online learning at the beginning of the pandemic, and keeping classes running smoothly with students engaged online was a difficult but welcome challenge.

I worked as an editor for a series of textbooks written by the company Bilum Books, to be distributed in Papua New Guinea in order to increase the level of education in the country. A great level of attention to detail was required for this task in addition to technical expertise, as I not only had to spot technical errors in the book but also suggest how the presentation could be improved. This role allowed me to develop my professional communication skills as well as my time management through balancing my other commitments with hard deadlines.
