Conducted tests on the material and employed statistical analysis procedures developed by statisticians to identify statistically significant trends in properties. -

Program EngineerGe Aircraft Engines Aug 1982 - Aug 1984Evendale, Oh• Conducted failure investigations on directionally solidified superalloys test specimens resulting in a fractographic atlas to assist in component failure analysis.• Developed cooling rate homogenization procedures to improve the mechanical properties of directionally solidified superalloys.• Developed and patented two techniques to inspect thermal barrier coatings on turbine blade components using an infrared laser and camera and computer imaging techniques.• Developed and patented an advanced state of the art single crystal superalloy which required no environmental coating and increased rupture strength by 50°F.
