Responsible for the design, implementation and operation of the Company's network and server infrastructure.Contributed heavily in the R&D of Pulsestream’s newly launched Oil & Gas Communications product that brings state of the art communications ability to various oil field locations throughout the U.S.

Responsible for day to day operations of the Corporate Helpdesk that duties included desktop, software and network support for up to 600 users across several local and remote facilities with a team of 4 technicians. Collected and published helpdesk statistics from the Altiris ticketing system to examine monthly performance, analyze areas where improvements could be made, and establish future goals for process improvement. Assisted in the deployment and management of key software systems such as Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Microsoft Forefront Online Protection, Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection, Microsoft SharePoint Server 2007/2010, Microsoft Active Directory & domain management, and Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager. Deployed appropriate operating systems in both physical and virtual environments depending on project needs that included Dell PowerEdge servers running primarily VMWare ESX and Microsoft Hyper V virtualization technologies. Developed and maintained data integration processes between FFE Logistics' MercuryGate operational system and the corporate IBM AS/400 accounting system to facilitate automated shipment transaction updates. Assisted with the facilities management of the corporate data center in Dallas and the disaster recover site located in Fort Worth. Conducted network changes on Cisco Catalyst series routers, switches and ASA devices following standard change control practices.

Designed and implemented wired and wireless networks for providing internet access to business and residential customers. Built and maintained the company's core servers providing E-Mail, Web, Firewall, Intrusion Detection and Network Monitoring services utilizing a wide array of software and operating system platforms to include Cisco, Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Sun Solaris, Microsoft Exchange, Snort, Apache, Zimbra, and Zenoss. Managed installation and coordination of repairs on equipment for the 18 transmitting locations that comprised the core wireless backbone. Installed and maintained WiFi hotspot networks for events at Texas Motor Speedway and other large spectator venues. Expanded service offerings to include VoIP services utilizing Asterisk based SIP servers and standard Telco POTS and PRI interface cards. Responsible for creating and maintaining detailed documentation for all network diagrams, tower sites, and equipment access using Microsoft Visio and other software applications.

Transitioned from the Maintenance department to the Information Systems department as the primary desktop support technician and assisted in the startup of the North Richland Hills facility. Created and managed an automated accounts receivable application that outsourced over 60 million dollars in receivables to outside collection agencies in the first year of production. Developed several web applications and interfaces using Oracle PL/SQL, ASP, and Java for the Accounts Receivable, Collections, and Claims departments to help streamline their business processes. Designed and developed an application for the Claims department to allow scanning of claims documentation into the Corporate imaging database. Assisted in report development using the Cognos Business Intelligence line of products.

Lead maintenance coordinator for all intermodal assets which included tracking and minimizing repair costs, creation and management of preventative maintenance scheduling and repairs, and coordination of emergency repairs for equipment when needed while in transit.

Inspected and repaired all mechanical systems to include power train, chassis, brake, cooling, fuel and exhaust. Maintained parts and supplies for a fleet of twenty three wheeled vehicles and nineteen tracked vehicles. Performed monthly evaluations on job performance and technical proficiency of nine personnel. Used diagnostic test equipment to analyze and repair electronic components and subsystems.
