Position Summary:Oversight of logistical planning, coordinating, implementing, executing, and evaluation of Mind and Life programs from initial planning phase through reconciliation of budgets and post-program archiving. More specifically, I managed the annual Mind & Life Summer Research Institute at the Garrison Institute, the 2017 Dharamsala Dialogue with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and co-lead the International Symposium for Contemplative Studies. Duties and Responsibilities-Coordinate selected programs from initial concept through post­-evaluation and the archiving process.-Work closely with other staff to ensure that all programming logistics are well coordinated.-Work closely with program planning committees to clarify themes, agendas, speakers, content, and participants/guests. Coordinate planning calls, develop agenda and set action items.-Develop and maintain detailed, clear and efficient planning materials, including but not limited to: planning timelines, guest lists, travel itineraries, staff schedules, catering plans, and rooming lists.-Develop and maintain event budgets, including monitoring expenditures, noting significant variance from projected budget, and updating and communicating any changes in a timely manner.-Serve as the primary point of contact for presenters, participants, vendors and sponsors for events in regards to travel logistics, presentation requirements, program materials and event schedules.-Work closely with Communications and IT team to develop and execute communications plans, including program design, website creation and maintenance and marketing plans.-Write content for program materials (i.e. website, programs) and other program communications
