As part of major project development process, the Mechanical Estimator focuses on establishing erection and installation budgets for the assembly, setting and alignment of mechanical equipment items on Industrial facilities addressing millwright, boilermaker, ironworker and piping work primarily, but should have capabilities to evaluate engineered equipment costs, commodity materials and specialized subcontracts. Successful mechanical estimators experience frequent interaction with original equipment manufacturers and design engineers as a key element of solution assessment.

Act as representative and single point of contact with the customer concerning the service team. Coordinate the placement of service techs, placing them according to the customer and equipment requirements. Provide technical support on an on-call basses, supporting surface wellhead installations. Perform evaluations for all direct reports. Update service cost sheets for service related installations. Provide monthly service income forecasting based on future jobs.

Act as representative and single point of contact with customer. Responsible for the execution of all work related to the project including, but not limited to bids, preliminaries, offshore operations, work performed by the base organization and subcontractors. Exert best efforts to ensure that all work is completed within customer’s milestones, budgets and to the quality specified or implied in the scope of work. Update project plans and schedules and report progress. Prepare and negotiate variation orders. Preparation and follow-up of site instructions, mobilization, transit service and demobilization activities as required. Responsible for all project specific HSE and QA activities related to the project. Implement and follow-up Quality rating systems (QRS) and Key performance indicators (KPI) reports. Guide and motivate project staff. Establish and maintain cost control processes. Perform evaluations for all direct reports. Interface directly with the customer on contractual matters. Present presentations with the customer with respect to the performance of the project. Supervisory and approval control of all documentation inherent to project activities. Allocate project related costs and approve related purchases and service orders

Coordinate the placement of service techs, placing them according to the customer and equipment requirements. Provide Technical support, supporting subsea wellhead and completion installations. Prepare service orders with clear instructions to repair and refurb equipment to make it ready to ship to location for installation. Plan equipment repairs, so that the equipment is ready for installation per customer requirements. Supporting drilling and completion operations

Responsible for the installation of subsea and surface wellhead equipment (surface wellheads, tubing hangers and X-mas trees) including tie back connectors, drilling riser, and riser tensioning systems. Working overseas (Africa, Brazil) and domestically (GOM)

Responsible for gauging and servicing oil and gas production wells. Other duties included general maintenance on oil field equipment including separators, compressors, circulating pumps, coil tubing equipment and plunger lifts.
