Csv Practitioner/ConsultantShared Value Initiative Affiliates 2014 - Jul 2015UkMy Shared Value creation practice began in Nestle Philippines as a manager in Corporate Affairs in 2004, two years before CSV was conceptualized by Michael Porter and Mark Kramer. I learned CSV on the ground in all engagements between factory sites and community beneficiaries. This is where I saw how the concept of CSV blended with the realities of actual Shared Value as operationalized through Nestle's value chain. A substantial part of my CSV career with Nestle Phils. has been dedicated to helping members of the academia understand CSV, whether student or teacher. In fact most of the students that come for interviews are from the top universities. Today, as an accredited affiliate/consultant for the Shared Value Initiative, my focus will be to integrate CSV in the curriculum of major universities in order to ensure a steady stream of Shared Value Practitioners who will eventually become the future CEOs of many corporate. Initially, this integration will be piloted in the Philippines, however with the long term objective of bringing the curriculum to universities in other countries. Finally, CSV programs that are properly implemented will work towards long term results that show benefit to business and to society in no uncertain terms. The CSV programs that thriving in the Philippines have outlasted the Millennium Development Goals in terms of the continuity of how it benefits business and society. It will certainly come as no surprise that the Shared Value programs here will be successful even after the SDG have lapsed in 2030. The Shared Value strategies can and will offset the dismal outcomes of the "business as usual" stigma the festers in many business sectors. CSV is a continuum, it works and works better than Philanthropy or CSR.
