I am a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association's Hope for Us Conflict Engagement Team, which works with congregations and their leaders to engage conflict and to re-covenant with one another. Before joining the UUA, I practiced for more than 30 years as a labor and employment lawyer - first with Dorsey & Whitney, and then at UnitedHealth Group. I retired from my position as Deputy General Counsel at UHG, where my responsibilities included compliance, training, advice, and dispute resolution work with respect to wage and hour issues, performance management, FMLA and other leaves, reductions in force, disability, discrimination, privacy, labor, noncompetition, and executive employment matters.
