I am an engineer in the Engineering Development Program where I will rotate through various roles within the Operational Smart Grids teams over 24 months. My first 8-month rotation entailed dealing with databases and middleware as a member of the database administration team. Following this I joined the data center and Linux administration team. During this time, I served as a Linux admin with a focus in deploying new systems, ensuring critical systems had backups, verifying products within the environment were licensed and NERC compliance adherence. Lastly, for my final rotation I joined the networking team. As an engineer on the networking team my duties included deploying/life cycling new equipment, router/switch/firewall administration, and ensuring NERC compliance. Additionally, through out these rotations I honed my project management skills by taking on the additional role as project manager for several department projects.

I assisted the help desk with basic desktop support. While here I also took part in a new hardware deployment and Windows 10 upgrade project. My primary role was in the creation and vetting process of the new Windows 10 image for new and pre-existing devices. Additionally, I assisted with new hardware procurement and documentation creation within the project.
