David is the President and CEO at Hydro One Limited, Ontario’s largest electricity transmission and distribution provider with approximately 1.5 million valued customers and 9,300 skilled employees.With 40+ years in the utility and forestry sector, David has a proven track record of delivering results and providing shareholder value through strategic investments, operational excellence and economic growth by driving the values of customer centricity, safety and continuous improvement. For close to two decades, he has worked in all facets of the energy sector. Prior to becoming the President and CEO at Hydro One Limited, David held the role of Chief Operations Officer of Hydro One Networks Inc., with responsibility for transmission and distribution, construction, vegetation management, system operations, asset planning and engineering. Under David’s leadership, the company has improved safety, productivity, reliability and customer experience. Before joining Hydro One, he held progressively senior positions in operations and safety at BC Hydro and spent 23 years in the forestry industry.David holds an Executive MBA from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from the University of British Columbia, and is a registered forester. David also holds his ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors, and has previously served as an Executive Board Member for Smart Grid Northwest, as an Operations Board Member for Western Energy Institute, and as the Chairman of the Distribution Council with Electricity Canada.
