As a boutique law firm associate, handle all aspects of a diverse docket of complex civil rights andcommercial litigation matters. Cases include wrongful convictions, false arrests, prisoners’ rights, housing discrimination, disability rights, First Amendment, wage and hour, commercial fraud, breach of contract, and consumer and employment class actions. Maintain primary responsibility at all stages of litigation, including investigation, drafting of pleadings, document review, depositions, class certification, expert discovery, motions, oral arguments, appeals and settlement. Experience includes defending and taking depositions (including Rule 30(b)(6) depositions of the NYPD), class action fairness hearings, oral argument on dispositive motions, and complex settlement negotiations including detailed injunctive consent decrees. Conduct legal research to develop novel innovative claims and liability theories. Work closely with clients to set goals for representation and collaborate with leanly staffed teams of paralegals and attorneys to achieve results through efficient and aggressive advocacy.

Worked on complex federal constitutional class action litigation, including civil rights cases brought under 42 U.S.C. Section 1983.
