Welcome to my profile.At the core, I am a mathematician. I started teaching in France's Classes Préparatoires for two years, and then had the honour to be selected to be one of the program coordinators for a Sino-French cooperation project called Sinoeuropean Institute of Aviation Engineering (SIAE).When we arrived in 2008, there was nothing except 100 Chinese students waiting for us. And with a colleague, professor in Physics and Chemistry, our job was to create the first three academic years. We wrote the curriculum and teaching material for our respective specialties, taught it, but the bulk of our work was to make the place last: we were also in charge of training young Chinese Ph.D. graduates, let them little by little take more and more responsibility until we felt like they could be left in charge of everything we set up.I decided to end my collaboration in august 2017, feeling like what had to be taught had been taught, and there was not much more that I could add. At that point, I was basically fluent in Chinese, and had a much deeper understanding of Chinese culture than 9 years earlier. I was hoping to keep building on this foundation, and most importantly, avoid going back to a "regular" teaching job in France where I would inevitably lose these skills. Unfortunately, my employer did not have a position satisfying this criteria. So my wife and I decided to create it. We both always wanted to learn how to create and manage a business, and opened a small neapolitan style pizzeria in Tianjin that we ran for two years.We had to sell and move back to France for family reasons, in october of 2019. And we currently are unable to return to China due to the hassle that international travel has become, and the prohibitive price of plane tickets. Seeing that we are stuck here for an unknown period, I decided to create a logic board repair business for iPhones and MacBooks. I love the satisfaction of fixing things when everybody else tells you that they are unfixable, and the smile on the face of customers who just saved hundreds, sometimes thousands, by not purchasing a new device, and who just recovered the data they thought was lost.
