Labor Relations Manager responsible for consulting/coaching leaders, managing the recruiting process, payroll oversight, employee engagement, performance management, employment law compliance, union contract & grievance management and dispute resolution.

• Design, develop, coordinate and administer business partner human resources efforts for the Joy location in Houston, Eighty-Four and Homer City, Pennsylvania in a high-impact, relationship building approach. • Proactively address labor relations by partnering with manufacturing leadership and front line supervisors to foster positive/partnership relationship.* Participate in labor/contract negotiations.* Participate in or lead Grievance and Arbitration meetings. • Lead coaching & performance management activities in alignment with Learning & Development processes and business objectives. This includes the administration of the Global Performance Planning and Assessment System and compensation (merit/ bonus) administration.• Lead recruiting activities for hourly & salaried positions within the manufacturing group. Interview, screen and select candidates for key positions.• Support and assist in the Operational Excellence (lean manufacturing) initiatives at the Homer City, PA Plant location. This may include partnering on change management activities, leadership support at employee meetings, etc.• Direct staffing needs and development efforts (succession planning). Design, facilitate and conduct training programs based on identified needs. Identify candidates for the Learning & Development training programs and assist in the coordination of these efforts.

Supervised multiple manufacturing lines producing automotive components. Responsibilities included scheduling labor, training technicians, process improvements, and the efficient management of labor, raw materials (scrap reduction activities), and a safe clean work environment. This position also required the effective presentation of daily, weekly and monthly performance to PBM goals.
