I’m a Texan, and like most Texans, I bring 100% of myself to everything I am part of. That kind of passion has enabled me to achieve some big goals while helping others reach theirs.I have more than 40 years experience in STEM industries, working with complex industrial and manufacturing equipment and managing teams of people in challenging environments. I use the insights I’ve gained to help companies build smarter strategies, create more effective communication, and avoid people and equipment issues.I’ve been a volunteer at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for more than 30 years. My involvement as a member of the Board of Directors has shown me the importance of treating all people with respect and humility. As a result, my committees have accomplished great things to benefit kids and communities across Texas.I am passionate about BBQ. I’ve competed nationally, fed hundreds and thousands of people, and even created my own line of rubs and spices. Getting great BBQ takes time, dedication, and a willingness to experiment until you get it just right. I’ve found those lessons apply to business as well.Through my time on a pit serving BBQ to both the active duty and veteran communities, I became part of a group who founded the non-profit A Warriors Table, to serve honor meals to the active duty and their families, post deployment. Community service and giving back to others keeps my perspectives in check.
