Responsible of the operations of a 225 rooms Ibis hotel in Brussels.Supervising 5 HOD and a total of 65 employees to achieve the quality standards of the Ibis brand.Directly in charge of the F&B department, responsible of the e-reputation, contracting (corpos, fits, groups), recruitement of new staff, achieving the monthly activity and goi comments, participate in the pricing strategy meetings.Actively represent the hotel in different gatherings and meetings.Replacing the GM while absent.Work on Public Relations with guests in the different areas of the hotel such as bar, restaurant, meeting rooms.Assist the country representative for PCI DSS in achieving the certification for all Ibis hotels.

Assist the Vice President of Operations in his daily work, communicate with the hotels within his scope: 46 hotels (subs, managed & franchised) in 3 countries which represents +/- 6000 rooms, organize and attend meetings (marketing, brand operations, GM meetings, think tank due to threats in Brussels, PR...), prepare the anual visits to the franchised hotels, monthly financial closure of the hotels within the scope and commenting this report, annual closure of the hotels and reporting, analize if the GM's of the hotels obtain their anual bonus and calculate them.Analizing the budgets for 2016 of all hotels.I had the chance to take this position during the sick leave of the actual Assistant, and this for a period of 3 months. It changed my perspective on hospitality business, by this I mean that I had the chance to have a broader view, a helicopter view and not just the "intra-hotel" view we have when working for one specific hotel.

Responsible of the FO team, reservations, group reservations, corporate contracting and leisure contracts.Coaching, training and following FO team to ensure high quality service for Ibis standards.Responsible in achieving FO goals and preparing forecasts in matter of room revenue, occupancy rate, average room rate and revpar.Ensuring annual loyalty program targets.Performing monthly activity comments.Iplemented the Welcome project: establishing procedures and guidelines for the new on-line check-in system.Handling guest complaints and maintaining a good reputation on social medias.Replacing the GM when needed.

Coaching, training and following the front office team to ensure high quality service. Rethink existing procedures and establish new procedures for the efficiency of the daily work: organize the daily work.Assist the front office manager on the daily controls of the day and night shifts.Recruitment of new staff.Monthly closing of FO figures.Prepare the schedule of FO team.Assist in preparing annual corporate contracts and travel agencies contracts.
