As a Biomedical Engineer, learning and finding new experiences is something I am pursuing in the development of my career. Working in the Medical, Research, and Industry Fields helped me develop excellent problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. This experience also helped me hone my technical skills in multiple fields. Through my experience, I gained from working in Warkiani Lab I have gained the skills necessary for R&D and project planning. I was introduced to advanced biological and engineering skills such as Cell Culture, PCR, fluorescence microscopy, high-definition SLA 3D Printing, and other lab skills.I was recently honoured to present at the Regional ABCS Sydney Mechanobiology Conference 2023 on our project on an Advanced design for a Total Disk Replacement Implant. This experience helped hone my skills in effective problem-solving skills with design and prototyping, as well as effective collaborative communication and leadership skills.As a manufacturing process engineer, I was able to design an efficient production process currently in use. I was also able to provide solutions to product issues that helped improve the quality and consistency of the product. I was also in charge of creating a manufacturing facility which improved my leadership skills.I am open to new opportunities to improve and expand my skills, especially in the Manufacturing and R&D industry. My current skills would be valuable in future companies I will work for and I am open to learning new skills and knowledge in different industries. Eventually, I hope to gain a higher management role in the medical device industry to provide better health for the community.
